Sportsman/Sportswomen coming out as gay
Why do they need to broadcast to the world that they are gay?

To be fair, being the very first pro footballer in the world to come out is pretty brave. Being that 110th, not so much.

Yeah all these footballers flaunting it. It's the last bastion where I think they should be genuinely admired for announcing it.

I reckon that John Curry is gay. I just get a vibe off him.

Thought this was going to be a thread about Jarrod Bowen. Disappointed.

Why do gay boys always want to ram it down your throat?

Bit like vegans.

And iPhone owners.

Who cares?

Because they are attention seeking cunts

“Why do gay boys always want to ram it down your throat?”

Maybe if you ask them politely they’ll stop doing it, joe?

In this case I think he did the right thing . His announcement rather than through the press .

Is it OK - mandatory even - for somebody to say "He's got nice legs" now?

I've no interest in football other than West Ham, and couldn't care less about somebody's sexuality, however, I'll still rather look at a picture of a woman than a man, whatever the background story and no matter how many rugs she's munched, and have no intention of embarking on an "even it up" campaign to make the number of pictures I've looked at over my life sexually "equal", no matter how "fair" people might think that would be.

I can understand that you might not trust yourself if you start noticing MENS LEGS

Maybe we will get to a point where noone gives a shit about other peoples sexuality and people can be themselves.
Who knows maybe even a woman footballer will feel they can come out as straight.

Its beyond belief that there arent ANY gays in all the Premier league squads.
I understand we may soon have an announcement from :
Jack Grealish
Paul Pogba
Tottenham Hotspur (squad, coaching team, stewards & cheese room manager)

If that comment was directed at me, I lived in Bangkok for about 10 years and noticed plenty of men's legs in that time.

They were always underneath a Ladyboy, but I both noticed them and trusted myself (whatever that means/implies) in their vicinity.

What is your aim here?

2 questions.

How many benders do you know?

How many said benders follow football?

Now ask yourself why there are very few of them playing pro football.

Yes I’m aware of stonewall FC.

Re: Sportsman/Sportswomen coming out as gay
Of course there are bummers playing football, but why should they have to announce it to the world?

It has no relevance to your job so unless you want to make a big thing of it just carry on.

If you want to step forward and be the poster boy then crack on, but you’ll have to embrace everything that comes with it.

Mike, what an extremely odd post.

A sportsman comes out as gay on the other side of the planet, and you start talking about being forced to look at men’s legs. You’re very very strange.

If "very, very strange" = "different from you", then it's a place I'm very comfortable in.

As with everything these days, when a famous person, sports person or celebrity comes out with anything then every other cunt jumps on the bandwagon. The reason for that is that they are self entitled and play the attention card.

At the end of the day normal everyday people come out as gay, have mental health issues and all manner of problems. But nobody fucking cares. Everyone just gets on with it.

Someone famous says it and everyone jumps on HMS Virtuous for a voyage across the lovey dovey ocean. People offering support to a person they have never met, don't know, don't care about.

Big fucking deal. He's gay. Well done mate. I don't fucking care. All these people offering their love and support...How about you look at the people close to you and around you everyday. Ask them how they are. Ask them if they are feeling ok. Offer support to everyday people who need it.
